Basement suites and secondary units
Surrey has a huge number of homes with secondary suites. We check each suite's electrical, plumbing and heating, ceiling heights, exit windows, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and the separation between units, and note anything that looks like it was done without a permit.
1970s to 1990s homes in Newton, Fleetwood and Guildford
Houses from this era often have Poly-B plumbing, aluminum wiring, older electrical panels and roofs near the end of their life. We open the panel to look for double-tapped breakers, loose wires and signs of overheating, and identify the type of plumbing.
